In addition to Tai Chi (above) we also study Qigong. Qigong is a 5000 year old health exercise which is a part of Chinese Medicine. Tai Chi is a very erect exercise and lacks spinal movements and bending / twisting within the full range. So in order to offer a complete exercise for the whole body, Qigong is usually practiced alongside Tai Chi.
Qigong also relieves stress, calms the mind and releases tension.
Find your class day/time/venue in the list below and you'll see the form(s) of Qigong your class is covering. Then go to the forms section below and select the appropriate videos to practice.

Yi Jin Jing (revisit from 2024)
Yi Jin Jing means Muscle-Tendon metamorphosis. It's an ancient fusion of Yoga and Qigong dating back to c500AD. Around that time, Bodhidharma, an Indian monk, travelled to the Shaolin Temple and shared his Yogic practices with the Shaolin Monks who combined it with their existing Qigong practice to create 'Shaolin Yoga'.
FRIDAY 1pm EGGBOROUGH will be continuing this set in 2025 and other classes will learn / revisit it later in 2025
